I LOVE women who own their sexy. From the start Roxanne knew she needed this shoot for herself and by the end, she was seeing her images for the first time with a tear in her eye. I thought I’d share a few of her own wonderful words about the shoot:

“Working with Dana was unlike anything I could have imagined. She has a true gift, not only as a photographer but as a woman who cares about her clients and what they are trying to achieve. As a woman over 50, I was a bit nervous due to my age and body, but Dana made me feel so empowered, beautiful and sexy. I have a renewed sense of confidence in myself!”

Gush, don’t you just love her? Check out her radiant and rosy photo shoot below:

         “Everyone you know,

          everyone you ever heard of,

every human being who ever was …

lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.” – Carl Sagan

Danielle is such a lovely human. She’s quiet and sweet beyond words but don’t mistake that for being meek, this girl has presence. From her phenomenal singing voice to her strength and openness, she climbs mountains and doesn’t stop there. It was such a pleasure to work with Danielle on my final Be{you}tiful Project photo shoot for the 2014 season. With the next season just around the corner (begins March 1st!), I thought she’d be the perfect way to reintroduce the project. Happy Valentine’s Day lovers!! I have a special treat for you today- meet Cora. She runs The Lingerie Addict, one of my personal favorite lingerie blogs because of it’s inclusivity of all sizes, extensive archives and thorough reviews. Cora is pushing this industry in ways it’s never been pushed and people are loving it – including me. I thought our shoot would be appropriate to share today because of my immense love for this woman and the work she is doing. I am so honored to have had the chance to photograph her. Here’s to hoping for future collaborations with this exceptional woman!

All my love,
Dana Kae

Another newbie!! When I first met this beauty she was walking in Bellefleur’s annual lingerie fashion show, “The Enchantment Hotel”, and I was shooting behind the scenes.  She was super camera shy, in fact, early in the evening she mentioned to me that she didn’t want her photo taken. I did it anyway (because I’m a bit of a rebel) and she fell in love with the pics, which quickly led to planning a full fledged boudoir shoot. Allison went full force into the planning and found her dream (top secret) location. It spoke to her moody artsy side and provided an indoor pool for us to use AND she got it for free. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to find something unique and perfect for you, all you need are connections and I absolutely guarantee you have them if you look hard enough.

I stumbled across an amazing article yesterday, “7 Tips for Taking Your First Ever Boudoir Photos” written by The Militant Baker <- AMAZING. I really feel like Allison hit all of these points right on the head and it totally shows in her shoot. It is such a gift to watch women open up to this experience. I think we definitely have a convert – just look at her!
