Q: Where do we shoot/will you travel?
A: I am based in Seattle, but available to travel anywhere your heart desires! See travel rates above. If you're a Seattle-area local my tiny house in Everett can be used for boudoir and portrait sessions at no additional cost OR I can travel to you! Some people choose to use their own home, an outdoor location (my favorites here), or they rent a location such as a hotel or AirBnB (my favorites here). I can even do the location scouting for you! This service starts at $250 + the cost of the location. Either way, I'll help guide you through this part of the process and we'll find the perfect place for your shoot!
Q: When are you available?
A: I'm typically booked out about 4-8 weeks, but it can be much farther if you need a weekend day, especially in the summer months. If your shoot or event date is not flexible, it's a good idea to get in touch as early as possible :)
Q: How long does it take to get the pictures and products?
A: It takes 2-3 weeks to get your finished gallery! The exception being weddings, which take 4-6 weeks. Printing and framing takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks after editing is complete, and albums take 4-6 weeks. With advance notice, rush options are available as follows:
Q: What products do you offer?
A: I offer fine art prints, unique glass print boxes, 9 framing options, usb drives, and some other really fun retro custom gifts. I also offer acrylic glass prints, which are sort of like canvas but even better! And then of course, I offer beautiful custom designed albums. Check out my products page - where you can view full details on all the keepsakes I offer :)
Q: Do I have to pay extra after for the digitals? Do they come with the right to print?
A: Unlike a lot of photographers, I include high-res digital copies of all the final edited photos with every session and you can absolutely print them yourself! However, there are benefits to having your artist do it for you. Often colors and exposure are a lot more accurate through me, so it really just depends on your final purpose for the print. I'm a great choice if you want archivable and high quality reproductions.
Q: How do I pay and where do I schedule?
A: I take all the things - cash, check, card. Get in touch with me via email or phone to set a date, then I just need your signature and a 50% booking fee and I'm officially YOURS.
Q: What do you retouch and how many photos do I get?
A: I happily offer basic retouching on all of your photos, which includes smoothing out an area of uneven skin tone or removing a stray hair or blemish. I do not, however, provide any body sculpting or more extensive forms of retouching. You simply don’t need it! I promise *at least* 25 photos p/hr for portrait and boudoir sessions and 75 photos p/hr for events and weddings, but almost always deliver more!
Q: Do you offer hair and makeup?
A: Yes, Seattle-area boudoir and portrait clients can add one of my professional hair and makeup artists to any session for $250 per person for full styling or $100 per person for limited grooming (typically for masc leaning folks looking for short hair styling and very little makeup). My artists will even come to our shoot location!
Q: Do you provide the outfits for boudoir?
A: I do not! With lingerie's specific fit and style differences, I've found folks benefit tremendously from trying things on ahead of time and being able to pick out pieces that fit their unique style and preferences. With that being said, I can absolutely still help make final decisions about what to wear. Here's my guide to the best local (Seattle) and online shopping for boudoir.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my shoot?
A: I always say do whatever makes you feel best! With that being said, here are quick links to my Boudoir Welcome Packet and Wedding Welcome Packet - both have great recommendations and info on how to get ready. For other types of photography, we'll discuss all the details before your shoot. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions :)
Q: What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?
A: If there is an active ban on events or photography due to covid-19 at the time of your event/session, then you may cancel at any time and apply your booking fee to your new event date. In this case, there will also be no rescheduling fee! To see my full policy, click here.
