i've got answersGOT A QUESTION?

Q: Where do we shoot/will you travel?

A: I am based out of the Seattle area, but available to travel anywhere your heart desires! See travel rates above. My Tiny Haus in Everett can be used for boudoir sessions at no additional cost. Some people choose to use their own home, an outdoor location (my favorites here), or they rent a location such as a hotel or AirBnB (my favorites here). I can even do the location scouting for you! This service starts at $300 + the cost of the location. Either way, I'll help guide you through this part of the process and we'll find the perfect place for your shoot!

Q: When are you available?

A: Wednesdays through Saturdays are my typical shooting days - I take Sundays and Mondays off and try to leave Tuesdays open for office hours. I also usually take a long trip in either March or April and take the last half of December off as well. I'm typically booked out about 3-6 weeks (sometimes less on the weekdays), but it can be much farther out if you need a Saturday, especially in the summer months. If your shoot or event date is not flexible, it's a good idea to reach out as early as possible!

Q: How long does it take to get the pictures and products?

A: It takes 2-3 weeks to get your finished gallery! The exception being weddings, which take 4-6 weeks (6-8 weeks in peak summer season). Printing and framing takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks after editing is complete, and albums take 4-6 weeks. With advance notice, rush options are available as follows:

  • RUSH EDITING (finished 2-3 business days after the session/event) - 25% of the full session fee
  • RUSH PRINTING FOR ALBUMS ONLY (2 weeks faster) - $250
  • RUSH SHIPPING FOR ALBUMS ONLY (1 week faster) - $150

Q: What products do you offer?

A: I offer fine art prints, unique glass print boxes, 9 framing options, usb drives, and some other really fun retro custom gifts (old-school retroviewers and calendars). I also offer acrylic glass prints, which are sort of like canvas but even better! And then of course, I offer beautiful custom designed albums. Check out my products page - where you can view full details on all the keepsakes I offer :)

Q: Do I have to pay extra after for the digitals? Do they come with the right to print?

A: Unlike a lot of photographers, I include high-res digital copies of all the final edited photos with every session and you can absolutely print them yourself! However, there are benefits to having your artist (me) do it for you. Often colors and exposure are more accurate, paper quality is much higher. It really depends on your final purpose for the print. I'm a great choice if you want archivable and high quality reproductions.

Q: What do you retouch?

A: I happily include basic professional retouching on all of your photos such as; smoothing out a small area of uneven skin tone or removing a stray hair or blemish. I do not include any body sculpting or more extensive forms of retouching; acne, tan lines, tattoo removal, bruises, wrinkles, stretch marks, etc. Additional retouching of this nature can be added on for $75/hr.

Q: Do you offer hair and makeup?

A: Yes, Seattle-area boudoir and portrait clients can add one of my professional hair and makeup artists to any session for $300 per person for full styling or $150 per person for limited grooming (typically for masculine leaning folks looking for short hair styling and very little makeup). We can also provide light styling to get teams camera ready before batch headshot sessions at $150 per hour (2 hour min). My artists will come to our shoot location!

Q: Do you provide outfits for boudoir?

A: I do not! With lingerie's specific fit and style differences, I've found folks benefit tremendously from trying things on ahead of time and being able to pick out pieces that fit their unique style and preferences. With that being said, I can absolutely still help make final decisions about what to wear. Here's my guide to the best local (Seattle) and online shopping for boudoir.

Q: What should I do to prepare for my shoot?

A: I always say do whatever makes you feel best! With that being said, here are quick links to my Boudoir Welcome Packet and Wedding Welcome Packet - both have great recommendations and info on how to get ready. For other types of photography, we'll discuss all the details before your shoot. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions :)

Q: Can I bring a friend for moral support?

A: This is up to you! I want you to do whatever will make you most comfortable. However, this isn't something I recommend for a few reasons; often we're working in cramped spaces, additionally getting direction from too many folks can feel overwhelming, break up the flow, and leave us both feeling like we have an unwanted audience. All of which ultimately makes it harder to get to a genuine and authentic place. I promise I am a super hype woman and will give you tons of great direction, but I totally understand if you still opt to bring a friend :)

Q: Do I have to be in your portfolio?

Absolutely not, in any case, you always have final say. Since most wedding clients don’t mind if I use their images, there is a clause in my event contract that gives permission (just to get it out of the way), however that can be changed or revoked before or after signing. For portrait and boudoir clients, there is no such clause and I will always wait for permission in writing before using any images from your session. And even with permission in writing, you could tell me a month later to take it all down and I would! Your comfort is my top priority.

Q: What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

A: If there is an active ban on events or photography due to covid-19 at the time of your event/session, then you may cancel at any time and apply your booking fee to your new event date. In this case, there will also be no rescheduling fee! To see my full policy, click here.

Q: How do I pay and where do I schedule?

A: I take all the things - cash, check, card. Get in touch with me to set a date for your session, then I just need your signature and a 50% booking fee and I'm officially YOURS.
